This teacher has been involved with music her entire life. From elementary school to college, she has played piano and/or sung with various performing groups including: honor choirs, jazz choirs, wind symphony, and jazz ensemble. She graduated with a BM in Music, emphasis in piano and is currently finishing her MA in Piano Pedagogy. She specializes in classical piano music and music theory.
Since she believes a well-rounded musician is essential, she includes various styles (jazz, pop, rock, etc.) in her lessons. Depending on the student, other topics covered in a lesson are music theory, sight-reading, composition, and improvisation.
As an active member of MTAC and MTNA, she encourages her students to participate in the various performance and evaluation opportunities to further their musical education. She has taught private and group piano lessons beginning through advanced students from ages five to 85.
